Parents’ Evening

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for parents’ evening. We would really like to see all parents and there is still time to sign up or phone school to make an appointment – if you haven’t done so already please get in touch on Monday to make an appointment.

The following clubs will not be on next week because of parents’ evening: Football (the Year 5 and 6 club with Mr Toyne), Country Dance and Netball.

All other clubs are on next week.

Attendance

I am really pleased to be able to let you know that for September 2010 - September 2011 Lane End children had the best attendance in Stockport! Thank you very much for valuing your child’s time at school; for not taking unnecessary time out and for making sure your children get here on time and ready to learn. The attendance figures are also an indicator of how happy the children are in school and how much they also value their education. An excellent achievement!

Puzzle Day

The PTA have funded an exciting event which is going to involve and benefit all of the children. On 14^th

 March the ‘Happy Puzzle Company’ will be coming in with challenges and puzzles for each class to attempt. It will be an excellent opportunity for the children to put their ‘Growth Mindset’ into action. As well as funding the day the PTA are also funding the purchase of an Infant and a Junior Puzzle Box for school which all classes will be able to use. The hard work of the PTA and your support has made this possible – thank you. At the end of the school day the ‘Happy Puzzle Company’ will have a puzzle sale which you are invited to attend and there are details attached.

PTA Sports Relief Disco -On Friday 23^rd March the PTA are holding a Disco in aid of Sports Relief. There are

 separate Infant and Junior Discos and details are attached. We hope you are able to come and support this very worthwhile charity.

PTA Easter Egg Fundraiser – Please also find details attached of a personalised Easter Egg fundraiser which raises money for school.

PTA Table Top Sale – we will be holding a table top sale on the morning of Sunday 22^nd April and you

will be able to ‘purchase’ a table to sell your items – more details to follow nearer the time.

We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.
